Site Fitter
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Site Fitter to join our fabrication installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various structures on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and installation and related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Install and fit for various architectural structural, including both steel and glass fabrications, according to project specifications and schematics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting tasks as required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Assist with the fabrication of components on-site as needed.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in related fabrication installation, along with welding skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in site fitting roles.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential.
- The successful candidate must hold a CSCS card due to the role being site based.
- A driving license as the role will offer a works vehicle.
- Additionally not essential although a plus is holding a IPAF and PASMA card.
