Site Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Site Fitter to join our fabrication installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various structures on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and installation and related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Install and fit for various architectural structural, including both steel and glass fabrications, according to project specifications and schematics.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting tasks as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
• Assist with the fabrication of components on-site as needed.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and resolve any on-site issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in related fabrication installation, along with welding skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in site fitting roles.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential.
• The successful candidate must hold a CSCS card due to the role being site based.
• A driving license as the role will offer a works vehicle.
• Additionally not essential although a plus is holding a IPAF and PASMA card.
