Job Advert: Site Engineer / Site Manager (Groundworks & Civils)

Location: Hull

Contract Type: Freelance - long term for the right candidate

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Manager to join our team on a busy new build housing project for a groundworks and civils contractor.

This is a dual role position, split approximately 50/50 between engineering duties and site management responsibilities. You''ll be working closely with the project team to ensure both the quality and progress of works meet expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering (50%):

• Setting out for groundworks and concrete slabs

   

• Ensuring works are completed in line with engineering drawings

   

Management & QA (50%):

• Managing 3-4 groundwork gangs on site

   

• Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks

   

• Completing permits and other H&S documentation

   

• Conducting quality inspections and reporting

   

• Maintaining site records and daily diaries

   

Requirements:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

   

• CSCS Card

   

• First Aid at Work

   

• Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering

   

• Experience on residential new build sites preferred

   

• Ability to manage both site teams and paperwork efficiently
