      <description>Location: Ardrossan | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | VGC Group are recruiting for the following position:       Role  – Site Engineer    Location  – Ardrossan (KA22 8LY)   Salary/Rate  – Negotiable. Must be either PAYE or Umbrella PAYE    Duration  – Starting Wednesday 6th May. Short term deployment       Overview:   We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 construction project team. The role requires strong technical expertise in setting out, gridlines, steel frame erection, and reinforced concrete slab construction, with a proven ability to manage tolerances, accuracy, and quality on complex builds. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in accordance with design and programme requirements. Must have own laptop and software. All other equiptment supplied.    Key Responsibilities   Setting Out &amp; Engineering Control   Establish, maintain, and manage site gridlines, datums, and benchmarks in line with approved drawings and specifications.  Carry out precise setting out for steel frame erection, columns, beams, cores, and RC slabs.
