Site Engineer

RTL Group are seeking a site engineer to work-to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major tunnelling and infrastructure project in Redcar.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging scheme involving tunnelling, reinforced concrete structures, drainage, utilities and associated civil engineering works, with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for tunnelling and civil engineering works.

• Managing engineering control and site documentation.

• Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records.

• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.

• Liaising with Site Managers, Sub Agents and the design team.

• Managing QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.

• Supporting the delivery of reinforced concrete, drainage and structural works.

• Coordinating subcontractors and resolving engineering queries.

• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Promoting the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or tunnelling.

• Experience with setting out using Leica, Trimble or similar survey equipment.

• Strong knowledge of QA procedures and engineering documentation.

• Experience working on major infrastructure, utilities, highways, rail or tunnelling projects.

• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• CSCS Card.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
