Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways and earthworks package in Rochester. This is a 6-month contract role offering competitive day rates and an immediate start. You will play a key role in supporting the site team with setting out, quality assurance, and progress reporting on a busy infrastructure project. Key Responsibilities: Setting out for earthworks, drainage, roads, and associated structures Ensuring works are delivered to the correct technical standards Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, and the project team Managing quality assurance, including ITPs and site inspections Maintaining site records, diaries, and as-built information Contributing to health, safety, and environmental compliance on site Requirements: Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or large-scale civil engineering projects Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and road construction Proficient with robotic total stations and GPS equipment CSCS card (Engineer), and ideally SSSTS or SMSTS Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor on a fast-paced, high-profile infrastructure project.
