Site Engineer Location: Gatwick Sector: Civil Engineering / Groundworks Start: ASAP Duration: 2 3 years (Freelance) Rate: Negotiable, DOE The Role We are recruiting a Site Engineer to support a major groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering high-profile infrastructure works at a key airport in the South East. The purpose of this role is to provide accurate, reliable site engineering support establishing levels and survey control, setting out detailed works from drawings, and maintaining strong records to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will work closely with the Site Agent and wider site team, contributing to planning, delivery, and handover across a range of civils and groundworks schemes. Key Responsibilities Health, Safety and Environment Promote and uphold the company s safety values and site rules. Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with HandS legislation and company procedures. Actively contribute to a safe working culture on site. Promote and comply with all environmental requirements and good practice. Site Engineering Establish level and survey control for each contract. Set out detailed works in line with approved drawings and specifications, carrying out regular checks. Ensure records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements.
