Site Engineer – Aviation / Civil Infrastructure

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major works within a live aviation environment at Gatwick.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term framework involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure packages, with a strong pipeline of secured work.

 The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of heavy civils packages, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Setting out and surveying across a range of civil engineering works

• Supporting site delivery teams with technical input and problem-solving

• Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with specifications and drawings

• Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, and QA documentation

• Managing subcontractors and ensuring quality standards are maintained

• Supporting with short-term planning and coordination of site activities

• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress

 Requirements

• Proven experience within heavy civils / civil infrastructure projects

• Background working on major infrastructure or regulated environments (aviation experience advantageous)

• Strong setting out and surveying capability

• Good understanding of QA processes and site documentation

• Experience working under NEC forms of contract

• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
