Be qualified in civil engineering or structural engineering and have a minimum of 4 years on site, setting out experience while working for RC frame subcontractors. Be prepared to carry out setting out duties. While some of the options may involve senior engineering duties, all will also involve setting out. Have stable careers that reflect your commitment to stick with individual employers for complete projects. While this last point isn’t always easy to measure, in short, my client does not want to consider people who have moved jobs every 6 months.
