Site Engineer - Power Distribution

A great opportunity has arisen for a technical minded site engineer to join a leading company in the power distribution sectorJob Description:Based on site with some occasional in-house pre fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers and associated packages.You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, preassembly images and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.You will be required to travel to third party sites both in the UK and Europe to build up the equipment and test.You will ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard.You will be a customer facing ambassador whilst on site and able to deliver excellent customer service levels, even when sometimes under pressure.Use of initiative in an environment with changing priorities whilst always focussing on completing a task safely.You will read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings.You will use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role.Identify and work with colleagues to resolve site related challenges.To work unsociable hours when required to meet customer needs.Keep up to date with legislative updates and communications Beneficial Skills / Experience: Experience and competence of working on site fitting distribution and power transformers and ..... full job details .....
