Overview

We''re working with a well-established operator within the highways sector, who are looking to hire a Site Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient delivery of highways works, with strong opportunities for development and overtime.

A key requirement for this position is a background in the installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day site engineering activities to support successful project delivery
• Carry out setting out, site surveys, and quality checks
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and wider site teams
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications, and budget
• Maintain accurate site records, drawings, and documentation
• Drive compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
• Identify issues early and support practical, safe solutions on site

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within highways / civils
• Background in installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment (essential)
• Good understanding of site engineering methods and construction processes
• Strong working knowledge of health & safety requirements
• Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate across teams
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
