We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major data centre development in Northumberland.

This is a long-term opportunity working on a large-scale, complex construction project, with responsibility for supporting the delivery of key civil engineering and infrastructure packages.

We are looking for a technically strong Site Engineer who is confident working on a major construction site and has previous experience across groundworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete.

• Setting out and surveying works accurately in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Providing engineering support to Site Managers and Project Managers.
• Checking drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Ensuring works are completed to the required tolerances and quality standards.
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
• Carrying out level and dimensional checks.
• Monitoring subcontractor works and ensuring compliance with approved designs.
• Liaising with the design team to resolve technical queries and issues.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of upcoming works.
• Ensuring all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements.

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering.
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage, utilities, concrete or infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and relevant engineering software.
• Previous data centre experience is advantageous, but not essential.
