Site Engineer

We are currently looking to engage an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support a well-established civil engineering contractor with an annual turnover of circa 150m, delivering a strong pipeline of projects across the South East.This is a long-term freelance opportunity operating outside IR35, ideal for a capable engineer confident across infrastructure and groundwork packages.Key Responsibilities- Carrying out precise setting out using Leica TS16 total station and associated survey equipment- Managing and overseeing works including:- Drainage (foul, surface water, attenuation, deep drainage)- Utilities installation and coordination (water, gas, electric, telecoms)- Modular building groundwork and installation interfaces- Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and QA procedures- Producing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers- Supporting and promoting safe systems of work on siteRequirements- Demonstrable experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering environments- Strong technical knowledge of drainage and utilities infrastructure- Experience working alongside or coordinating modular/off-site construction packages beneficial- Proficient in the use of Leica TS16- Valid CSCS card- EUSR CAT and Genny certification (essential)- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications with a high level of accuracyContract Details- Location: South East ..... full job details .....
