Site Engineer - Highways CivilsLocation: Chorley, LancashireContract: 8-10 weeksStart: Monday 5th OctoberShift pattern: Day shiftsRate: 350- 375 per day, CIS/Umbrella via DatumClient: Tier 1 Highways ContractorWe are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support a Tier 1 Highways Contractor on a civils package in Chorley.The role will focus on delivery of a car park and ducting works package, supporting the site team with setting out, quality control and day-to-day engineering requirements.ResponsibilitiesSet out works accurately for car park, drainage, ducting and associated civils activities.Establish and maintain site control, levels, line and setting-out data.Carry out quality checks, inspections, as-builts and survey records.Review drawings and raise technical queries or RFIs where required.Prepare and maintain ITPs, QA records, site diaries and engineering documentation.Support the Site Manager and Site Supervisor with planning, sequencing and coordination of labour, plant and subcontractors.Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and in line with project specifications.RequirementsProven Site Engineer experience on highways, civils, drainage, external works or infrastructure projects.Practical experience setting out car parks, roads, drainage, services or ducting.Competent using Leica/Trimble robotic total stations, GPS and level equipment.Strong QA, ITP, surveying and as-built experience.Valid CSCS essential; relevant highways or civils qualifications ..... full job details .....
