Site Engineer - Gatwick

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a major airside infrastructure project at Gatwick Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering works within a live airport environment. This role is expected to continue until at least March 2027. Key duties include:

- Setting out and surveying airside civil engineering works.- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Managing QA documentation and engineering records.
- Carrying out site inspections and quality checks.
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Monitoring progress and reporting site activities.
- Resolving technical issues and supporting project delivery.
- Promoting high standards of health, safety, and quality.

What We''re Looking For

- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, or aviation projects.Proven setting out experience using GPS, Total Station, and surveying equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, inspections, and engineering documentation.
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards within construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
