      <description>Location: Orkney | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | Site Engineer – Orkney Islands  £350–£375 per day | Inside IR35 | 6–8-month contract  11 days on / 3 days off | Accommodation, food and travel provided  An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on the Orkney Islands.  Working alongside the Site Agent and wider delivery team, you will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance and coordinating day-to-day site activities. The project will include groundworks, drainage, cable management, earthworks, utilities and service diversions, small reinforced concrete structures and general civil engineering works.  The role will involve setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment, producing QA documentation and inspection records, maintaining accurate as-built information, supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to specification. You will also liaise with Site Agents, Section Engineers and the design team while maintaining high standards of quality and health and safety.
