Site Engineer
Site Engineer – Water Infrastructure
Poole, Dorset | Contract | £360 per day | IR35 TBC
The Project
This is a long-term water infrastructure programme delivering upgrades across treatment and network assets in the Southwest, a well-funded, busy framework with a strong pipeline of work and a team that knows how to deliver. You will be joining a well-established site team on a scheme that genuinely needs experienced engineers, not bodies to fill a headcount.
The Role
As Site Engineer you will be at the heart of daily site delivery, setting out, quality assurance, subcontractor coordination, ITPs, as-built surveys, permits, and keeping the technical side of the job running smoothly. You will work closely with the site management team, support foremen and subcontractors on the ground, and be trusted to get on with it.
This suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in technical accuracy, and wants to work on projects that matter.
What You Will Be Doing
- Setting out civil and structural elements to required tolerances
- Producing and maintaining ITPs, check sheets, and as-built records
- Coordinating with subcontractors and supervising day-to-day works
- Raising RFIs and managing technical queries
- Maintaining daily site diaries, photographic records, and documentation
- Supporting the site management team with programme and quality delivery
What You Will Need
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or water infrastructure projects
- Setting out proficiency using total station and GPS equipment
- Solid understanding of QA processes, RAMS, and permit systems
- Water sector experience desirable e.g. drainage, pipework, treatment works, or similar
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid
- EUSR Water Hygiene desirable
- Full UK driving licence
