Site Engineer

Force Contracting Services are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kilmarnock. The project is due to commence at the end of September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 2 years. The successful candidates will have a strong civil engineering background, relevant experience working on BESS sites, and experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects. Scope of Works: Enabling works Site preparation Earthworks Drainage Access roads Hardstanding Equipment foundations Fencing foundations Ducting and trenching Reinstatement All associated civil works required to provide a complete and operational BESS site Responsibilities: Setting out and surveying civil engineering works, including levels, coordinates and dimensional checks. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, providing technical support to the Site Manager and Project Manager. Working closely with subcontractors and site teams to monitor progress and ensure works are delivered to the required standards and tolerances. Maintaining site records, QA documentation and inspection records. Identifying technical issues and supporting the planning, sequencing and delivery of works. Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects, with relevant experience working on BESS sites.
