Site Engineer - Earthworks

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong earthworks experience to join a major HS2 project in Buckinghamshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, delivering large-scale earthworks packages within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Setting out and surveying for earthworks activities
• Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records
• Carrying out quality assurance checks and ensuring works are completed to specification
• Preparing RAMS, ITPs and as-built documentation
• Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Section Engineer/Senior Engineer
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with project standards
• Supporting programme delivery and resolving technical issues on site

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong earthworks experience is essential
• Experience of working on large-scale projects such as highways, rail or major infrastructure schemes
• Proficient in setting out using Leica and/or Trimble equipment
• Good understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Valid CSCS card
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• HS2 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
