Job description:Site Engineer - , SunderlandCompany: Recycling and Recovery UK Location: Sunderland Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Rate: 310- 320 per day (DOE)Sector: Waste Management / Civil Engineering / IndustrialRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support engineering and construction activities on a recycling operational site in Sunderland. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and programme requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting out and supervising site works.Coordinating subcontractors and site activities.Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.Carrying out site inspections and quality checks.Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports.Supporting permit systems and operational site procedures.Monitoring progress against programme and reporting issues to management.Assisting with commissioning and handover activities.Liaising with project managers, client representatives, and operational staff.RequirementsProven experience as a Site Engineer on industrial, utilities, energy, or civil engineering projects.Experience working on live operational or process sites preferred.Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.CSCS Card ..... full job details .....
