Site Engineer

Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to recruit an experienced Site Engineer for a major infrastructure project based in Peterhead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a highways or major infrastructure background to join a busy project team supporting the delivery of key civil engineering works.

As Site Engineer, you will support the site team with setting out, quality assurance, and day-to-day coordination of works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

• Setting out and monitoring earthworks and civil engineering activities

• Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records

• Producing site diaries and engineering documentation

• Assisting with the preparation and updating of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

• Supporting quality control and ensuring works comply with project specifications

• Coordinating site activities and working closely with supervisors and subcontractors

• Ensuring all engineering records and documentation are maintained to a high standard

• HNC or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects

• Experience working on large-scale projects 

• EUSR CAT 1 and CAT 2 training 

• Strong experience in earthworks setting out, as-built surveys, and site documentation

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Right to work in the UK
