We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in landscaping and ecology to support a major Tier 1 highways project in Gloucestershire.
What the Role InvolvesAs a Site Engineer specialising in landscaping & ecology, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery of ecological and landscaping works within a live highways environment.

Overseeing habitat creation, tree and vegetation works, ecological mitigation, and landscaping implementation.

Setting out and supervising landscaping packages in line with design requirements.

Producing and reviewing drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and environmental management plans.

Liaising with ecologists, landscape architects, subcontractors, clients, and statutory bodies.

Ensuring SHEQ compliance, with a focus on ecological and environmental protection.

Providing accurate site records, progress reports, and quality assurance.

Assisting the project team in forecasting resource, cost, and programme for landscaping and ecology works.
The ideal candidate will have:

HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Ecology, or related discipline.

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways, infrastructure, or landscaping projects.

Strong ecological awareness — including legislation, habitat management, and protected species considerations.

Good technical knowledge and ability to interpret and deliver landscape/ecological designs.

CSCS card (essential), SMSTS or equivalent preferred.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on site in Gloucestershire.
