Site Engineer

Job Title: Engineer/Surveyor - Short-Term Cover (Highways)
Location: Ipswich area (multiple sites)
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Start Date: Monday
Rate: Inside IR35, negotiable
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to provide short-term cover on multiple highway projects in the Ipswich area. The successful candidate will carry out surveys across various sites, compile results into CAD drawings, and deliver completed outputs to the project team.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct site surveys across multiple highway project locations
• 
  Accurately capture positional data using own engineering equipment (ideally GPS)
• 
  Travel independently to various sites in the Ipswich area
• 
  Produce CAD drawings from collected survey data
• 
  Submit completed CAD files to the project team within required deadlines
• 
  Maintain high accuracy and safety standards throughout all works

Requirements:

• 
  Proven experience in highway or civil engineering surveys
• 
  Own vehicle for site-to-site travel
• 
  Own engineering equipment (ideally GPS)
• 
  Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent)
• 
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and drawing production
• 
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  Rate is negotiable, depending on experience and equipment provided

  Works are based in and around the Ipswich area, with travel between sites required
