Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering the HS2 project in the Aylesbury area. We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of major civil engineering works on this high-profile scheme.

The Role

You will work as part of the site engineering team, supporting the safe and accurate delivery of works across the project. This role will suit a Site Engineer with experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out and surveying works in line with drawings and specifications

  • Supporting day-to-day site engineering activities on HS2 works

  • Producing and maintaining as-built records and quality documentation

  • Ensuring works are delivered safely and to the required quality standards

  • Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors, and the wider project team

  • Supporting inspections, permits, and site records

About You
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects

  • Experience on HS2 or major rail projects is desirable but not essential

  • Good understanding of setting out and site engineering processes

  • CSCS card (essential), SMSTS desirable

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Able to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment
