Site Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Site Engineer to join our team on a specialist infrastructure project involving the replacement of bearings and a joint over a live railway line. This position will play a key role in both the planning and execution of works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols across both rail and highways environments.

Key Responsibilities:
·Support the delivery of bearing and joint replacement works on a structure over a railway.
·Carry out setting out and site engineering tasks in line with project requirements.
·Coordinate with the delivery team to manage day-to-day site operations, including safety, quality, and progress tracking.
·Liaise with rail and highways stakeholders to ensure access, safety, and possession compliance.
·Assist in planning and managing confined space activities within bearing shelves.
·Maintain accurate site records and as-built data.

Requirements:
·Experience working on structural, highways, or rail projects - ideally bridge or bearing replacement schemes.
·Relevant Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar).
·Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) - required for working near/over railway.
·Valid Highways Passport - required for working on the highway network.
·Confined Space Training - desirable, due to work in bearing shelves.
·Strong understanding of health and safety practices, especially in rail and confined space environments.
·Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required by rail possessions.
