Site Engineer – A47 (Highways Project)

Location: A47, East of England
Contract: Freelance
Rate/Salary: £350 CIS 
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a major highways project on the A47. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme with a well-established civil engineering contractor.

• Setting out for highways works including earthworks, kerbing, drainage, and road construction

• Managing and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications

• Overseeing drainage works with a strong focus on compliance and quality control

• Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met on site

• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress

- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Extensive experience in drainage works (e.g. deep and shallow drainage, manholes, gullies)
- Setting out experience using GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD
- CSCS card (mandatory)
- SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
