Site Engineer

CarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer to join the Structures team on a major highways scheme in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience on a nationally significant project, working within a collaborative and safety-first environment.

As a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of structural works by ensuring quality compliance, accurate documentation, and effective supervision of on-site activities. You will work closely with the Section Engineer and the wider project team to ensure construction is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.

• Assisting in the supervision of subcontractors on site.

• Monitoring and recording site activities in line with programme and specifications.

• Supporting the preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and inspection/test plans (ITPs).

• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.

• Assisting in resolving technical queries and liaising with the project team.

• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all times.

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.

• Previous experience in a Site Engineer role, ideally within highways or structures.

• Strong knowledge of quality processes and site documentation (RAMS, ITPs, QA).

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• CSCS card essential; SSSTS desirable.
