We are currently recruiting for an experienced Highway Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways project. This role involves overseeing site engineering tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for highways and associated infrastructure works

• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications

• Managing quality control and compiling relevant site documentation

• Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project managers

• Supporting the delivery of drainage, kerbing, road construction, and pavement works

• Conducting site inspections and maintaining accurate records

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects

• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, etc.)

• CSCS card (essential)

• SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of highway specifications (e.g., SHW)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
