Site Engineer - Cut & Carve | Central London | Immediate Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading contractor on a Cut & Carve project in Central London on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a complex city-centre redevelopment scheme, supporting site operations, setting out activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Key Requirements



Essential

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on Cut & Carve, demolition, refurbishment, or structural alteration projects
• Competent in setting out using modern surveying equipment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience managing QA documentation and site records
• CSCS Card
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Desirable

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Temporary Works awareness
• Experience working on constrained city-centre sites
• Knowledge of structural alterations, steelwork installations, and basement works

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying activities across the project
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate site records, QA documentation, and as-built information
• Work closely with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
• Monitor progress and assist in achieving programme milestones
• Identify and resolve engineering issues on site
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
