Site Engineer – Cabling Project
Contract Scotland are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a newly mobilised cabling project in Scotland, Near Carrick
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to get involved at the early stages of a new project, working alongside a Graduate Engineer and providing the experience and technical support required to keep the works progressing smoothly.
The project involves approximately 5.5km of cabling works and has recently commenced, with an expected duration of around 5 months.
The RoleAs Site Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the site team with the day-to-day engineering requirements of the project. You will work closely with the Graduate Engineer, Site Management and wider construction team to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and in line with the project requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesSetting out and surveying works on site.
Supporting the delivery of approximately 5.5km of cabling works.
Checking works against drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Carrying out site measurements and maintaining accurate engineering records.
Working closely with the Site Manager and construction team to resolve engineering issues.
Providing guidance and support to the Graduate Engineer on site.
Ensuring setting out and construction activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
Assisting with quality control and ensuring works meet the required standards.
Liaising with subcontractors and other project stakeholders where required.
Using surveying and engineering equipment to support site operations.
Maintaining accurate site documentation and records.
Supporting the project team with general engineering duties as required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction and be confident working independently on site.
Experience with GPS surveying / GPS machine control would be highly advantageous, as the project is introducing GPS machine control for the first time.
You should have a strong understanding of setting out, surveying, drawings and general site engineering practices, together with good communication and organisational skills.
