Site Engineer & Maintenance Manager

Location: South of Belfast

We are working with a well-established and growing industrial processing business who are investing heavily in their site and engineering capability. As part of this, they are looking to appoint a-Site Engineering & Maintenance Manager-to take full ownership of engineering operations and drive improvements across the plant.

This is a-site-level leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape engineering standards, influence performance, and make a tangible impact on reliability and efficiency.

The Role

This position sits at the heart of the operation, with responsibility for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and coordinating external maintenance contractors, ensuring quality, cost control, and performance standards
• Leading all engineering compliance activities, including permits, RAMS, and safe systems of work
• Driving plant reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Overseeing maintenance planning and execution to minimise downtime
• Supporting and delivering site projects, including upgrades and new equipment installation
• Ensuring full compliance with HSE and statutory regulations
• Acting as the key engineering point of contact across the site

About You

We are looking for an experienced engineering professional who thrives in a hands-on, site-based leadership role.

You will likely have:

• A strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment
• Experience managing maintenance activities, either directly or through contractors
• A solid understanding of permits, RAMS, and engineering compliance
• Proven experience improving plant performance, reliability, and maintenance standards
• The confidence to challenge contractors and drive high standards
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a desire to take ownership
