This is a varied and hands-on role within the Technical team, combining laboratory, operational and customer-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient management of hazardous waste, with duties both on site and occasionally at customer locations. The Role As a Site Chemist, your responsibilities will include: Inspecting incoming waste loads and ensuring compliance with transport documentation. Classifying hazardous and dangerous substances. Using XRF laboratory equipment. Providing disposal quotations for new waste enquiries. Segregating chemicals into compatible groups and ensuring correct packaging and labelling for onward transport. Sampling, checking and testing waste materials. Assigning EWC codes and ADR classifications where required. Preparing paperwork and documentation for outgoing loads.
