London, MiddlesexWe are currently recruiting for a leading main contractor who operate within the Rail, Civil and Highways Sectors. Due to a recent project award, they are looking for a Site Agent to work on a new portfolio of Station Upgrades based in West London. Project valued at c£40m and due to last until 2020 / early 2021.Candidate ProfileDegree Qualified in Civil EngineeringProgressed steadily from an Engineering backgroundPreviously worked on major station upgrade projectsChartered or Working towards ChartershipExperience of managing a team of on site staff (engineers, foreman, etc)Roles and Responsibilities:Fulfilling the Agent’s responsibilities as laid down in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of:All applicable legislationThe Terms and Conditions of the ContractThe Contract Health and Safety PlanThe Work Package Plans and Task Briefing SheetsThe Contract Quality / Environmental PlanThe Policies and Procedures contained within the company Business Management SystemDelivery of the contract within programme and budget. Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.The promotion of a continuous improvement culture and the use of best practice.The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project ManagerEnsuring that all relevant issues which cannot be resolved at contract level are passed for the attention of the Project ManagerPlease send an up to date copy of your CV and should your experience match the specification we will be in touch as soon as possible.
