Site Agent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major flood protection scheme. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale infrastructure project delivering critical flood defence and water management works.

Site Agent Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Managing day-to-day site operations across flood defence and associated civils works
• Leading site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Overseeing construction of flood protection measures including embankments, drainage, and structural elements
• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with programme and technical specifications
• Writing and reviewing RAMS and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
• Managing site documentation including permits, ITPs, and QA records
• Overseeing QA/QC processes and ensuring accurate completion of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Managing subcontractors to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and productivity
• Monitoring progress, preparing reports, and maintaining detailed site records
• Planning and coordinating logistics, resources, and sequencing of works
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Site Agent Requirements:-

• Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on flood defence, water, or heavy civils projects
• Strong experience delivering flood protection, drainage, or environmental schemes
• Ability to independently write RAMS and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes and site documentation
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors on complex infrastructure projects
• Valid CSCS card
• SMSTS (essential)
