Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee all on-site demolition activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Health & Safety: Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols, particularly concerning demolition near or over water. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Technical Expertise: Manage the technical aspects of demolition, including the safe removal of bridges, culverts, and other structures in or near a watercourse.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of site personnel, subcontractors, and specialists.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, engineers, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience as a Site Agent on projects involving the demolition of structures near or over water.
Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Certifications: Holding a valid SMSTS certification is essential.
Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are a must.
Knowledge: A deep understanding of environmental regulations and best practices for working in sensitive aquatic environments.
