Site Agent - Highways Maintenance and ImprovementsStevenage, Hertfordshire, UKup to £52,000 per annum + company car or £5,000 car allowance Lead the Delivery of Highways Schemes Across Hertfordshire We are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of highways maintenance and improvement schemes across Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong highways or civil engineering background who enjoys leading site teams and taking ownership of delivery. You will coordinate resources, monitor progress and ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality and commercial standards. The Role You will lead day-to-day site operations across maintenance and improvement schemes, working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams. You will provide visible leadership in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality while supporting and developing site teams. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and sequencing works to maximise productivity and minimise disruption. Leading site operations and coordinating labour, equipment and materials. Monitoring progress against programme and resolving delivery issues proactively. Ensuring costs are correctly allocated, value is maximised and waste is minimised. Liaising with supervisors, engineers, managers and commercial teams. Undertaking and responding to safety, quality and environmental audits.
