My client is a multi-disciplined tier 2 contractor who specialises in highway maintenance, highway infrastructure, traffic management, rail, and the environmental sector. The company is huge on the long-term stability and career progression of their team. This is helped by the repeat business they get in Surrey and Hampshire which is a result of their high standard of work. They get a lot of repeat business with main contractors such as Kier and Balfour Beatty. Their main contract on projects with Highways England and Local Authorities is also helped by the close bond from the management team down to the engineers.

About the opportunity

My client is looking for a Site Agent to work on highway and rail projects in London. The successful candidate will be expected to operate and promote a high standard of health and safety by ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in place for all aspects of the works. You will have to work closely with the Quantity Surveyor throughout to make sure the project is within budget as well as liaising closely with the procurement team. You will be in charge of undertaking the management of Sub Agents, Section Engineers, and Site Engineers whilst you work closely and report directly to the Contracts Manager. The projects that you''ll be involved in will range from pavements, kerbing, structural concrete, piling, and bridge bearings.

This opportunity is PAYE and freelance will not be considered.

About the requirements

You are required to have a good standard of education, preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification) in either Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Site Agent within Civil Engineering and Highways for a Tier 2 company. Your work history should be stable; ideally, you should have worked at your previous companies for several years.
