Site Agent

The Site Agent will be based on our Highways scheme based in Oldbury. The Site Agent will be the construction leader on the ground, manage the overall day to day supervision of the construction site and monitor the preparation of the site prior to project launch. You will oversee the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout the construction phase. andnbsp;

Responsibilities
Participates in compiling the initial programme and have a full awareness of weekly targetsandnbsp;
Plans and oversees the site setup, ensuring that the appropriate facilities are in place prior to the project launchandnbsp;
Manages the relationship with the sub-contractors while working onsiteandnbsp;
Takes ownership for ensuring that HSEQS protocols are always adhered to on sitesandnbsp;
Always maintains quality control proceduresandnbsp;
Ensures that the TWR is in place and is up to dateandnbsp;
Monitors onsite energy and waste dataandnbsp;
Is responsible for ensuring an efficient registration system is in place to monitor allandnbsp;individuals entering and leaving the siteandnbsp;
Flags any issues with the Contract Management/Commercial Teams, which have theandnbsp;potential to have an impact on the effective delivery of the project - I.e. materials,andnbsp;works schedules, resources, Handamp;S matters or issues relating to cost or delivery scheduleandnbsp;
Drives the pace of the project and plans the work in the fieldandnbsp;
Coordinates and priorities the sequence of activities on siteandnbsp;
Manages a team of foremen and other site staffandnbsp;

Strong People Management experienceandnbsp;
Knowledge of good industrial relations practicesandnbsp;
Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders, particularly subcontractorsandnbsp;
Ability to communicates with colleagues and clients in a warm and persuasive wayandnbsp;both formally and informally and able to alter style and method to suit audience
Can build consensusandnbsp;
Strong people skills and able to manage a variety of subcontractor supervisionandnbsp;
More than ten years'' experience working across a range of sectoral projectsandnbsp;andnbsp;
Experience of leading others and track record of delivering medium to large scale projects.andnbsp;

Trade or Technical backgroundandnbsp;
IOSH or equivalent Handamp;S management trainingandnbsp;
Temporary Works andamp; Excavation Safetyandnbsp;
Permitting requirements for live energy worksandnbsp;
Working at Heights andamp; Scaffoldingandnbsp;
Lifting andamp; Cranage operationsandnbsp;
Other HSEQS training as per site HSE planandnbsp;
New technology in Construction systemsandnbsp;
Understanding of the BIM strategyandnbsp;
