Site Agent – Highways Projects 

Location: Guildford / Chichester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major highways infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex schemes including earthworks, drainage, surfacing, and structural packages within Tier 1 and Tier 2 environments.

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring successful delivery of works safely, on time, and within budget. You will play a key role in coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across a fast-paced highways project.

• Manage and oversee all site activities on highways projects
• Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
• Monitor programme progress and drive delivery targets
• Manage RAMS, permits, and site documentation
• Liaise with clients, design teams, and senior management
• Oversee works including earthworks, drainage, structures, and surfacing

• Proven experience as a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent on highways projects
• Strong background working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
• Solid understanding of highways construction methods and sequencing
• Experience managing multiple site disciplines (earthworks, structures, drainage, etc.)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and relevant civil engineering qualification preferred
