We offer flexible location options and hybrid working arrangements to suit individual circumstances. Our modern offices in Belfast, Glasgow, York, Birmingham, and planned facilities in Swindon provide excellent working environments.Within AtkinsRéalis Signalling, you''ll develop your design delivery skills across all project phases, including feasibility, option development, detailed design, installation, testing, and close-out. Our projects range from major resignalling schemes like the Feltham re-signalling programme to station enhancements, track renewals, and level crossing upgrades. Your experience will be valued, and you''ll have opportunities to maximize your potential.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead teams through the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.Ensure signalling design delivery complies with client requirements, company procedures, and safety standards, fulfilling the Signalling Design CRE role when appointed.Deliver projects/packages within budget and schedule.Participate in meetings and liaise with project team members, clients, and contractors.Contribute to estimates and tenders as needed.Manage design staff and mentor junior team members.Requirements:Current IRSE 7.8.110E Engineering Manager (Design) Licence or working towards CRE competency per NR/L2/RSE/02009/01.Leadership experience in signalling design projects, work packages, and design commissions as Design Manager or CRE.Extensive mainline signalling design experience with knowledge of UK railway standards and procedures at various project stages.Proven experience as Signalling Design CRE in diverse project environments with UK technologies.Experience with early development and detailed design stages, including SandC track renewals and Stageworks.Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.Preferred: PTS certificate and IRSE workplace assessor qualification.Why work for AtkinsRéalis?Our Transportation teams are shaping the future of transport by creating innovative solutions for cities, people, and the environment.
