We are currently recruiting for HGV Shunter Drivers to join our team at East Midlands Gateway on a fantastic 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, paying £18.75per hour.
The Role
As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers around the site, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly and yard operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely shunt trailers around the East Midlands Gateway site
- Move and position trailers in designated areas and loading bays
- Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Follow all site health & safety procedures
- Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams
- Maintain a safe and organised yard environment
- Complete required paperwork and vehicle checks
- Adhere to company and site procedures at all times
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Previous shunting experience preferred
- Good understanding of HGV and yard safety
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety-conscious attitude
- £18.75per hour
- 4 days on / 4 days off
