Showroom Manager
Purpose of the Role
Join an international, design led organisation taking the UK by storm with multiple new showroom openings.
This is a rare opportunity for a retail leader to take genuine ownership of a new outlet, nurturing a new team
while bringing real creativity to the commercial side of running a space dedicated to beautifully crafted,
considered pieces.
As a Showroom Manager you''ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Warehouse, Dispatch, Customer Service and Marketing,
both nationally and internationally, sitting at the heart of a fast moving, design focused retail environment.
Key Accountabilities
Commercial and Inventory
- Design and deliver a clearance approach that keeps stock moving at pace, with autonomy over day to day pricing and clearance within agreed parameters
- Price according to item quality and condition, holding margin discipline while protecting the value of the product
- Take full ownership of stock position, inventory prioritisation and floor placement
- Stay close to conversion daily, catching where momentum is slipping and acting before it becomes a problem
- Drive commercial campaigns and promotions that bring energy to the clearance calendar
Warehouse and Merchandising
- Review returned stock and systemise SKUs and item numbers, generating clear lists for the warehouse team
- Set up product displays, rugs, sofas, coffee tables, chairs and cushions, styled to brand guidelines
Customer Experience
- Own the customer journey through the outlet, hosting every visitor with warmth and genuine product knowledge
- Handle complaints and disputes fairly and professionally
- Ensure every customer receives a special experience that reflects the quality and luxury design nature of the product
Leadership
- Build and lead a team, coaching individuals and developing them as you go
- Define the standards and rhythm this outlet, and future ones, will run on
- Get involved directly, moving stock, helping with staging, keeping the space safe and well run

- Positive, solution oriented, fun and friendly, with a genuine growth mindset and comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Leads from the front, celebrating wins as a team and knowing a happy, successful team drives successful results
- Treats every piece with real respect and a genuine commitment to finding it the right buyer, while setting commercial margins that reflect its value
- Strong customer hosting skills, confident handling complaints and disputes with fairness and composure
- Well organised, commercially minded with an understanding of pricing psychology
- A real eye for design and quality, able to make a customer see it too, even at a reduced price
Experience Required
- Background in high end consumer goods, ideally furniture, somewhere design and quality genuinely mattered
- Open to candidates ready to step up into ownership, as well as more experienced managers looking for something different
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Hands on and willing to lead by example
