Shotfirer / Explosive Supervisor

We are currently hiring for an Shotfirer/ Explosives Supervisor, based at Holme Hall Quarry, South Yorkshire. This role will report into the Quarry ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesThe role will involve face profiling, marking out shots, designing the blast specification, safe transfer and storage of explosives. Other duties will include the charging and firing of production shots and liaising with the driller.Candidates must demonstrate a strong attitude to health and safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of shot firing operations. You will also ideally be working towards or have gained their NVQ level 3 in shot firing, MPQC shot firing/explosives supervision card. Duties will require maintenance and placements of bunding pre and post blast.
