Shipping Manager

We are looking for someone who can take full ownership of all international shipping operations within the business, as well as the day-to-day running and development of this small department. We are looking for someone who has experience in fine art and high value goods and can bring ideas and improvements to the business Initially, you would be the sole person within the department, however the long-term plan is for you to help grow and scale the department over time, including eventually recruiting and building your own team as the business continues to grow.Based near to Heathrow the hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm Salary £ 40-45kDuties Include:Manage all export and import shipments end-to-endCoordinate international freight movements by air, sea and roadLiaise with airlines, shipping lines, freight partners and overseas agentsPrepare international shipping quotationsObtain and manage freight rates from suppliers and agentsBuild accurate operational costingsSupport pricing strategy and margin controlCoordinate with warehouse and transport teamsManage shipping workflow within SalesforceHelp improve systems, workflow and operational structureRequired SkillsExperience within international shipping, freight forwarding or specialist logisticsExperience preparing freight quotations and operational costingsStrong understanding of import/export operationsExcellent organisational and communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple shipments ..... full job details .....
