Haywards Heath - outskirts with plenty of parking available for all staff on site. Due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport
Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday (Apply online only) - office based.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused Shipping / Logistics Coordinator to join a growing organisation based on the outskirts of Haywards Heath.
The role - Shipping / Logistics Co-Ordinator
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will take ownership of a portfolio of international trading contracts, managing the entire process from contract initiation through to delivery and final payment. Working closely with suppliers, freight partners and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods, accurate documentation, and successful contract completion.
This position would suit someone with previous logistics, shipping, supply chain, freight forwarding or import/export administration experience who enjoys managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of commodity trading contracts from inception through to completion.
- Co-ordinate international freight shipments, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in line with contractual agreements.
- Prepare, review and maintain all shipping and commercial documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies and customers to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Monitor contract progress and pro-actively resolve any logistical issues.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records using Transportation Management Systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Complete accurate data entry and reporting activities.
- Support payment processes by ensuring all required documentation is correctly prepared and submitted.
- Work with internal teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Experience, skills and competencies required:
- Previous experience within logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, supply chain or import/export administration.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to administration.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good problem-solving abilities and a pro-active mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to the rural office location.
