Main responsibility is coordinating shipping for inbound / outbound shipments using Christie’s authorised suppliersDemonstrate technical shipping expertise, proactively offer solutions, and provide exceptional client service to external and internal clients.Present shipping quotes and options to clients and internal departments in line with Christie’s standards and processesProactive communication of transport schedule to all partiesEnsure that all tasks are carried out in full compliance with all local and international regulations (including Export Licensing / CITES/ Carnets), and maintain effective working relationships with various government agencies and trade bodiesApply for all Cultural Export and CITES Licences, keeping colleagues and clients updated on applicationsWorking closely with sales department and Post Sale to identify lots before and after sale that require an Export LicenceStringent record keeping of all transport movements and CITES/Export Licences and lot provenanceAdvocate Christie’s sustainability goalsAccurately record shipping charges from suppliers to support invoices processed in a timely mannerCommunication Management: oversee incoming/ outgoing emails. Flag any updates, important/urgent messages, progress and delegate requests as appropriateProactively resolve service recovery issues through contacting clients and working with suppliers to ensure a speedy resolutionEnsure Supervisor is aware of any escalated issues raised by internal or external clientsOther duties as assigned by Supervisors/ManagerWhat you’ll bring to the team
1+ years experience in experience within the fine art sectorPositive, dynamic attitudeProven time/task management and problem-solving abilitiesDetail orientatedStrong work ethic and able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environmentFast learner and ability to deal with pressureA logical thinker with the ability to seek continuous improvementStrong processing abilities whilst remaining client focusedDemonstrate exceptional client service and communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships internally and externallyConfident in using MS Excel, Outlook and WordExcellent verbal and written presentation skillsWhat’s Great About Working For Us
