A Manufacturing client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area is looking for a Temporary Shipping Administrator to join their team ASAP for at least a month but this could be extended. This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:30pm, with a salary negotiable based on experience.
Your key duties in this Shipping Administrator role will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating the distribution of finished goods according to the daily shipping schedule
- Preparing and compiling shipping documentation for both UK and international consignments
- Booking collections and creating shipping labels in line with carrier requirements
- Communicating with customers, freight forwarders, and third-party carriers
- Managing proof of delivery (POD) records and assisting with invoicing tasks
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
- Background in shipping, logistics, or dispatch
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident using shipping software and handling documentation
- Understanding of international shipping compliance and customs processes
