Shipper – Aerospace & Engineering Logistics

As a Shipper, you’ll be at the heart of operations—ensuring finished goods, transfer parts, and returns are dispatched accurately and compliantly to customers and suppliers. You’ll be trusted with dangerous goods, lean logistics, and cross-functional collaboration, all within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage despatch of finished goods, transfer parts, and returns
- Ensure compliance with IATA and aerospace regulations
- Authorised to release dangerous goods
- Pack goods to strict procedural standards
- Generate despatch documentation and select appropriate carriers
- Liaise with internal departments including Commercial and P&L
- Support lean materials management and continuous improvement
- Attend team meetings and act on priorities
- Provide accurate, non-sensitive customer information
- Pack and label subcontract parts
- Use carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Palletforce)
- Handle inter-company transfers and TAXi system entries
- Produce customer labels/tags (e.g. CT176)
- Arrange inbound/outbound collections and returns
- Complete goods received notes and match documentation
- Monitor delivery dates to ensure supplier OTD
- Maintain packaging data for submission
- Manage imports register and receive/order Wesco, Banner, Arco items
- Control stock levels for PPE and stationery
- Prepare for DIP scanning and distribute materials across site
- Operate MFG Pro and hold QA186 ‘A’ Stamp
- Operate forklift, pallet truck, barrel grab (certifications required)
- Conduct pin stamping and manage gate/barrier security
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English
- Aerospace or manufacturing experience (advantageous)
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, databases)
- Excellent communication and influencing ability
- Proven attention to detail and traceability awareness
- Flexible, proactive approach to changing business needs
- Previous experience in a similar logistics/despatch role
