If you are you a confident and proactive Multi Skilled Engineer with a strong Mechanical Bias Engineer looking for a new challenge then we want to speak to you !! 
 
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering Team at our clients manufacturing site that is based in Skelmersdale that produce a wide range of recognised snacks !  
 
Working in this fast paced manufacturing facility you will be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns keeping downtime to a minimum ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will be Apprentice Trained with a Mechanical Bias with a good understanding of electrical engineering ensuring safety standards and procedures are prioritised at all times.

Key Responsibilities of a Shift Technician 

• Quality Checks of maintenance activities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance 
• Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times 
• Demonstrate hands on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns 
• Prioritise system faults 
• Accurately record work carried out
• Collaborate with colleagues 
• Ensure CMMS is correctly updated 

Experience and Qualifications required for an Shift Technician 

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification, Time Served Apprenticeship
• Good understanding of Siemens / Allen Bradley 
• Good understanding of SCADA control systems
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills 
• Strong communication skills 
• Good manufacturing practices 

Salary and Benefits of a Shift Technician

• Annual Salary £58,943 (inclusive of shift allowance)
• 23 Days Annual Leave 
• Quarterly Incentive between £1,000 - £3,000 annually (KPI dependant)
