Our client is an expert packaging supplier who works predominantly within the FMCG sector who have a holistic and innovative approach to packaging. They are a future thinking business based just outside of Grimsby who are seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor who wants to be part of a team who are spearheading the future of the business.
Your job will be to supervise production of company materials. Ensure production procedures are followed to ensure scheduled manufacturing of raw materials is supplied on time and in full. A specific focus on quality assurance, selection and allocation of human resources.
THE ROLE:
Assess workload based on priority and schedule production works orders.
Plan and arrange resource requirements for each shift.
Ensure staff are correctly H&S inducted, trained and time logged.
Ensure sufficient flow is maintained around machinery.
Maintain our BRCGS standards for hygiene and clean as you go policy.
Oversee quality assurance procedures and record keeping.
Encouraging efficiency with change and improvement in performance and quality.
Communicate and cooperate with Operations team members.
Ensure traceability and batch systems are adhered to.
Arrange placement of raw materials and consumables.
Maintain a tidy, efficient environment in the production area.
Ensure correct pallet stack patterns and labelling are carried out.
Ensure shift checklists/forms are methodically filled in and filed.
Assist in machine breakdown procedures and oversee correction as soon as possible.
Work with service supplier agencies to fulfil recruitment requirements.
Attend daily team meetings to alert issues, plan workload, stock movement and resource efficiency.
Attend weekly 121-line manager meetings and report as required.
Perform periodic batch testing to ensure product specification compliance.

Experience in Shift Management/Team Leader positions
Ability to understand product specification parameters.
Methodical and process driven.

Interest in Quality Assurance to the finest detail.
THE BENEFITS:
Salary: -27,000 - -33,000 after probation period
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pension scheme
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 9.00pm (40 hours)
