What you''ll be doing;

• Assisting the Shift Team Leader with the operation of the plant from a Central Control Room, including the operation of refuse cranes
  
• Ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the Shift Team Leader
  
• Carrying out routine plant inspections, adjustments and operations as required, collecting and recording plant data
  
• Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility at all times
  
• Monitoring stocks and taking receipts of consumables and collections
  
• Working as part of the Operations team, assisting the Shift Team Leader and supporting other team members as required
  
• Assisting other company staff and contractors as required
  
• Undertaking personal development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role
  

What we''re looking for;

• Engineering experience working in a continuous process environment, preferably on steam generating equipment
  
• An interest in mechanical and electrical plant with some hands-on experience of plant operations is essential
  
• Experience gained through shift working, with the ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern including overtime when required
  
• A good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
  
• Waste Incineration experience is desirable but not essential
